The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People’s Workforce will enhance your understanding related to children and young people’s workforce, striving to provide you with the relevant knowledge that is required when working in a childcare setting. If you aspire to work as a child-minder, nursery manager or nursery nurse this course will develop your occupational competence in childcare learning and development.

The Level 2 Certificate will discuss key topics at length such as child and young person development, supporting child and young person development, safeguarding their welfare, supporting positive behaviour of children and young people and equality and inclusion. The course will provide instructional guidance on the development of skills and knowledge of early learning ad childcare workforces.

Learners must be over the age of 19, and demonstrate the following;
  • Vocational or academic qualification at Level 1 or higher
  • Basic level of literacy, numeracy and ICT ability
In order to qualify for the programme you will need to submit a completed application form which will be provided to you. This form should be provided to us within a month of enrolment along with the following;
  • Proof of educational qualifications
  • You must provide an identification document such as a passport or a driving license.
Upon submission of the documents your application will be reviewed. If you fail to meet the entry requirements of the programme your application will not be accepted.

To be awarded the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People’s Workforce learners are required to achieve 29 credits from Mandatory Group A and 6 credits from Optional Group B.

Internally assessed and externally moderated portfolio of evidence. Each learner is required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
