The Diploma in Hydraulic Principles at QLS Level 4 is designed to educate learners on the fundamentals of hydraulic technology. Hydraulics refers to the mechanical function that operates by the force of liquid pressure. It is a technology that uses engineering, chemistry, applied science, and other sciences in order to design and manufacture products and processes. Mechanical movements in hydraulic based systems are generated through the contained and pumped liquid. Hydraulics is a very essential technology that is used in many aspects of our lives from kitchen dishwashers to mechanical engineering.
The foundation of all hydraulic based equipment are the hydraulic principles. These principles are the factors that determine the proper manufacturing and designing of machineries and equipment. Knowledge of hydraulic principles is mandatory to embark on a successful career in mechanical engineering. The Diploma in Hydraulic Principles at QLS Level 4 is designed to provide aspiring mechanical engineers and mechanical professionals with insight into hydraulic principles.
The Diploma in Hydraulic Principles at QLS Level 4 will first help learners get an idea on the Archimedes and hydraulic principles. The course will cover topics such as atmospheric pressure, geometric arguments, vacuum and hydrostatic paradox. Backflows, actual backflow events and the reason for backflows will also be taught in detail. Have a clear understanding of various types of pumps and pump operation. The course will introduce learners to NPSH and pump performance and curves. Learners will be educated on devices such as coupling and mechanical seals needed in hydraulics.
The Quality Licence Scheme, endorses high-quality, non-regulated provision and training programmes. This means that Global Edulink has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria.
