What are pesticides? Pesticides refer to the chemical components used to kill or control pests that hinder productive activities. Pesticide is common in agriculture as pests such as ants, rodents, weeds and cockroaches are known to destroy crops. Pesticide is also common to the public health as mosquitoes, microbes and rodents can carry dangerous diseases. In such cases, once again pesticide is used to kill or control the outbreak. It is important to the public health and agriculture that ensures safety measures are taken when it comes to pest control.
The downside of all this is that too much pesticide can lead to poisoning and is not good for the harvested crop. Pest control officers, farmers and individuals working in agriculture must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of how to apply pest control measures and use pesticide safely. The Diploma in Pesticide Safety – Level 3 is helpful learners who want to gain insight and awareness on pesticide control and safety, and how to apply safety measures without harming the environment.
The Diploma in Pesticide Safety – Level 3 is designed not just for individuals working in this field but also to raise awareness amongst the general public on excess pesticide and the irreparable damage it can cause if measures are not applied correctly.
