Meet the Tutor
Maz Maktari
Maz Maktari is an experienced military and security professional specialising in VIP protection, hostile environments, and emergency response training. After serving eight years with the Royal Military Police, Maz developed a career as a Freelance Medic Trainer and SIA Trainer, delivering specialist training in first aid, tactical medical response, counter terrorism, and security.
He holds qualifications including Level 3 FAW, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Paediatric Level 3, FPOS3, FROS, and NEBOSH training. As Head of Training for the 2012 Olympics and 2015 Rugby World Cup at Stratford Olympic Park, London, Maz trained over 21,000 security staff and first aiders.
With 17 years of professional experience, he has delivered training across the UK and internationally, including the Middle East, South Africa, and Europe, helping individuals and organisations prepare for emergencies and complex security challenges.
