The ITIL Intermediate: Release, Control & Validation course is a part of the ITIL Intermediate Capability Lifecycle stream and expert qualification in IT service management. The course is designed to help learners to understand how to apply RCV to meet user requirements through successful planning, testing and implementing new services to achieve operational excellence. The ITIL framework has grown recently and is becoming an entry-level requirement for IT-based roles in major IT corporations and enterprises. The course will demonstrate learners competency in RCV and their skills and knowledge will be an attractive potential for global organisations. Additionally, individuals will master the objectives, principles, methods and functions to enable them to integrate into the service lifecyle.

The ITIL Intermediate: Release, Control & Validation course discusses the RCV processes and provides learners with a thorough understanding of ITIL service transition processes. The ITIL Intermediate: Release, Control & Validation course will test and validate the learner’s knowledge of the industry and their understanding in service management best practices. The RCV course is worth 4 credits and individuals need to acquire a total of 17 credits to progress to the Managing across the Lifecycle course. The course is globally recognised and accredited to a training organisation and you will be issued an internationally recognised qualification following full completion of The ITIL Release, Control & Validation course.

Method of AssessmentAt the end of the ITIL Intermediate: Release, Control & Validation course you will be required to take a multiple choice question assessment test comprising of 8 questions per paper in 90 minutes duration. (28 marks required to pass out of 40) The multiple choice question assessment will be automatically marked with learners receiving an instant grade. The pass mark is 70%, closed book.
CertificationThose who successfully complete the exam will be awarded the certificate in ITIL Intermediate: Release, Control & Validation.
Awarding BodyThe certificate will be awarded by Axelos. This is a globally recognised best practice qualification that will make your CV standout and encourage employers to see your motivation at expanding your skills and knowledge in the IT enterprise.
