This Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia raises awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. An Ofqual-regulated qualification, this course offers a complete understanding of dementia and its impact on the patient, their families, and the wider society. Dementia affects not just the individuals but also those surrounding them, including the caregiver. This Awareness of Dementia Level 3 Award delves into all aspects of a dementia patent’s life, their daily activities, relationships, and emotional wellbeing. Ofqual is England’s main government-appointed regulatory body, regulating school and college qualifications, and vocational and technical qualifications.

RQF

The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is a system used in England, Northern Ireland, and Wales to categorise and regulate qualifications based on their level of difficulty and size. RQF is jointly regulated by England’s regulator Ofqual, Wales DCELLS, and Northern Ireland’s CCEA. The RQF ensures qualifications are standardised, making it easier for learners, employers, and educational institutions to understand the value and level of each qualification. This course is assessed through five written assignments, which are evaluated by an assessor at the end of each module. Importantly, this course doesn’t have exams. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course:

  • Written Assignments: This course requires you to complete written assignments for four units. Your assignments will be marked internally by an assessor.

  • Feedback and Guidance: Your personal tutor will consistently monitor your progress and provide you with detailed feedback and guidance. This constructive feedback is designed to help you improve in future assessments.

After completing the Level 3 Award, you can progress to a Level 4 qualification. You also have the option to pursue a foundation degree or a bachelor’s degree in a similar field.
