Children and young individual’s health and safety are a priority, particularly if you are a teaching assistant and work in a learning environment. When taking into account the health and safety of children and young people, families and colleagues, Children and Young Individual’s Health and Safety – Certificate in Teaching Assistant Level 3 course will give learners a comprehensive understanding of how to plan their health and safety in any environment. The teaching assistant plays a vital role and will demonstrate their knowledge potential hazards to the health and safety of children and young people.

Children and Young Individual’s Health and Safety – Certificate in Teaching Assistant Level 3 course is designed to enable individuals to undertake health and safety legislation, policies and procedures and why it is important to demonstrate their ability to deal with it.

Children and Young Individual’s Health and Safety – Certificate in Teaching Assistant Level 3 course will discuss key topics at length such as how to monitor and review health and safety risk assessments, how to support children and young people to manage risks and why it is important to explain the rights and choices of children and young people in the context of health and safety.

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course.  The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

  • The course will develop the competence and knowledge of learning support staff like teaching assistants, learning support assistants and childcare workers. They will contribute to the health and safety of children, young people, families and colleagues.
  • Learners should be age 19 or over, and must have a basic understanding of Maths, English, and ICT.
  • A recognised qualification at level 2 or above in any discipline.

In order to complete  Children and Young Individual’s Health and Safety - Certificate in Teaching Assistant Level 3 successfully, all students are required to complete a series of assignments.
