A Lab Analyst could work in a hospital, government agency, forensic science institution, or pharmaceutical company. The Lab analyst course is designed to prepare candidates for work in these environments, and covers all of the rules and regulations involved in this. A Lab Analyst is a support role and with experience there is a lot of opportunity for progression to a Laboratory Technician, manager, or leader and you can also specialise in a certain area with further training. Salaries start at around £19,000 and with experience this could go up to £25,000. Highly experience Lab Technicians can expect to earn around £40,000.
