• There are no formal prerequisites.
• To achieve the Diploma, learners must first successfully complete Business Analysis Practice and Requirements Engineering (Core modules), Business Analysis Foundation (Knowledge-based module), and Modelling Business Processes (Practitioner module). Upon successful completion of these modules, candidates may proceed to the final BCS oral examination, which must also be passed to be awarded the Diploma.
• Practical experience in business analysis or business operations is recommended.
• A good command of written and spoken English is required, as all assessments are conducted in English.

Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis by BCS.

• A 50-minute online oral examination, conducted via Microsoft Teams by one or two examiners.
• The exam is conducted under closed-book conditions, and you must be in a clear workspace with no notes or materials present.
• From July 2024 onwards, all oral examinations are recorded (recordings are not available to candidates).
• Questions are based on the oral examination syllabus and your completed modules.
• You may be asked about topics beyond your previous study to assess the breadth of your business analysis knowledge.
• You will be required to apply your knowledge to real-world business scenarios, demonstrating professional judgement and analytical thinking.

Designed as a flexible, self-paced qualification, the time required for completion depends on your individual commitment. Access to the course is available for 12 months from enrolment.
