The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is a system used in England, Northern Ireland, and Wales to categorise and regulate qualifications based on their level of difficulty and size. Adult Social Care:

Upon the successful completion of the course bundle, individuals will be awarded two Ofqual-regulated qualifications. The Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia and Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate .

The Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate is evaluated through written assignments and practical placement, without any examinations. Each of these assignments must be completed and passed to achieve the certification. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course:

  • Assignment Submission: You will be required to complete and submit written assignments for 15 units. Once submitted, each assignment is reviewed and marked internally by an assessor. After your assignments are graded, you will receive detailed and constructive feedback from your personal tutor. This feedback is designed to help you improve and refine your skills for future assignments.
  • Practical Placement: You will be required to complete 40 hours working or volunteering in an adult and social care environment.
  • Direct Observation: You will be required to undergo direct observation in a suitable environment to demonstrate your practical skills. This hands-on assessment validates your competence and ability to perform essential tasks and responsibilities.

The Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia is assessed through written assignments, which are evaluated by an assessor at the end of each module. Importantly, there is no exam. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout:
