Overview

The Diploma in Pumping Principles at QLS Level 4 course will educate individuals on the different types of centrifugal pumps. Learners will be able to identify different types of pumps and understand the consideration behind pump selection. It is an extensive course that will give learners insight on pump design applications, operations, maintenance and management issues. Additionally, the basic fundamentals of mechanical seals will be covered in the course.

The course will present learners with valuable insight on pump maintenance, packing gland, seal and bearing replacement. Individuals will acquire the fundamental understanding of centrifugal pumps design application and how it can be used to enhance workplace productivity.

The Diploma in Pumping Principles at QLS Level 4 course will cover key features such as an understanding on operating principles of centrifugal, turbine and propeller, reciprocating and metering pumps. The course will offer insight into special-purpose pumps and diaphragm pumps used to handle abrasive and corrosive substances. Learners will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to recognise different pumps and solve sealing problems.
