RQF

The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is a system used in England, Northern Ireland, and Wales to categorise and regulate qualifications based on their level of difficulty and size. RQF is jointly regulated by England’s regulator Ofqual, Wales DCELLS, and Northern Ireland’s CCEA. The RQF ensures qualifications are standardised, making it easier for learners, employers, and educational institutions to understand the value and level of each qualification. The framework consists of nine levels, from Entry Level to Level 8, with each level indicating the complexity and depth of learning. Prerequisites

  • Learners must be over the age of 19. There are no formal prerequisites.
  • It is recommended learners carry out teaching practice of 30 hours in a suitable environment.

This course is evaluated through a combination of written assignments and direct observation. Importantly, this course doesn’t have exams. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course:

  • Written Assignments: You will be required to complete written assignments, which will be evaluated by a qualified assessor. Through these assignments, you will demonstrate your understanding and ability to apply theoretical knowledge in the real world. Assessment of these assignments is conducted internally.
  • Internal Marking and Feedback: All completed assignments are marked internally within Global Edulink. You will receive constructive feedback and guidance from your personal tutor, which will support your learning and improvement.
  • Direct Observation: You will be required to undergo direct observation in a suitable environment to demonstrate your teaching skills. These hands-on sessions will validate your competence and ability to perform in a teaching role. You would be required to produce expert witness testimony.
  • Assessor Support: You will have support from assessors available via telephone, WhatsApp, online discussion forums, email, and web chats, ensuring that you have access to help whenever you need it.
