Overview
The COSHH – Level 2 course is a risk assessment qualification that is essential for employers and supervisors who have a legal responsibility to conduct these assessments. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations Act was introduced in 2002 that requires employers to control exposure to substances and prevent ill health. Anyone in the workplace can be affected by hazardous substances, and the course is designed to give employees the knowledge on the health risk surrounding hazardous substances, and how to work safely with it.
The COSHH – Level 2 course will give learners an understanding of the control of substances hazardous to health, identifying hazardous substances, controlling hazardous substances and COSHH regulations.
The COSHH – Level 2 course gives employees a thorough understanding of hazardous substances. Under the 1992 Act, employees have a legal responsibility to their employers and must cooperate fully to ensure that they meet their legal obligations. Employers must provide effective COSHH training to ensure that everyone in the workplace can carry out their tasks safely. Managers and Supervisors should be able to identify hazards and implement safety measures to reduce or eliminate the risks according to the set standards.
