The AgilePM® Foundation is a popular project management certificate that focuses on the Agile methodology. The AgilePM® Foundation examination measures the candidate’s understanding of the concepts, principles and framework of Agile project management AgilePM®. On passing the exam you will receive certification that is globally recognised and will confirm your competence in Agile project management. The certification is a good starting point for professionals who want to take their Agile project management careers to the next level. Continuous education and professional development in Agile project management can improve skills and stay up to date with new developments in the field.
The AgilePM® Foundation certification exam is intended to assess a learner’s knowledge of the basic concepts and principles of agile project management. The course will improve a learner’s ability to plan, execute and control projects in a flexible manner, ensuring the success of project delivery. The AgilePM® Foundation also equips students with the tools to manage changing requirements, mitigate risk, and increase visibility and control on projects.

AgilePM is a member of the Agile Business Consortium, the professional body for business agility, which promotes business agility around the world. The Consortium also worked with APMG International, a global accreditation and examination body, to develop training and certification schemes and to produce the AgilePM® v3 Reference Book.
John Newton Moore is an APMG-approved AgilePM Approved Trainer and an AgilePM® v3 Practitioner. He is certified as a PRINCE2 Agile v3 Practitioner, a PRINCE2 v7 Practitioner with trainer status, and an Advanced Certified Scrum Developer by Scrum Alliance. He also holds several BCS accreditations in business analysis, requirements engineering and business process modelling, as well as ICAgile certifications in coaching, delivery and product ownership. He holds ITIL Foundation accreditation and certifications in MSP, PRAXIS and PMP.
John has more than 40 years of experience in IT and project management working for companies such as Cisco, Vodafone, the BCS, Westinghouse and McDonnell Douglas. He has written courses for the leading international training providers and delivered training in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He has also reviewed PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile materials and has written and reviewed exams for BCS credentials. He is currently an independent consultant and trainer with Newton Software Ltd.
There is only one closed-book multiple choice test to determine this qualification. The Exam is set and graded externally by APMG International.
Once the course and the exam are successfully completed, the learner is awarded the AgilePM® v3 Foundation Certification by APMG International.
Once you complete this Foundation certification, you can build on it with more advanced coursework in agile project management, including the AgilePM® v3 Practitioner certification. This certification is intended for project managers, product owners, solution architects and governance roles and tests application and analysis in a project scenario. Other advancements include AgilePM for Scrum to further integrate with Scrum techniques and Agile Programme Management (AgilePgM) to manage several connected agile projects.
